Thanks to Kate Craig of Hamilton Thorne for spending two days in our lab setting up our Ceros II Sperm Analysis system. Cricket sperm never looked so good!
Amy Worthington (Iowa State University) successfully defended her doctoral thesis on the role of prostaglandins in cricket reproduction.
Through the Canada Research Chairs program, Pedro Peres-Neto and I hosted Dean Adams (Iowa State University), Mike Collyer (Western Kentucky University), and Antigoni Kaliontzopoulou (Centro de Investigacao em Biodiversidade e Recursos Geneticos) for a geomorph workshop. They gave an excellent week-long workshop 27 April-1 May that was attended by 21 undergrads, graduate students, post-docs and faculty from Canada and the US.
